The film prior its release had gained a lot of buzz. Taking from the link ups of the lead actors to the rumors of it being the copy of one of the best south Indian films Magadheera. The story revolves around the reincarnation which made the makers of Magadheera file a case against it. However, in the end they were made to watch the film and convinced them the difference between the two films. The starcast of Raabta involves Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh in the lead roles. Alongside, Varun Sharma, Nidhi Subbaiah, Satendra Bagassi, Navdeep Tomar, Rahul Kohli and Karan Singh Chabra have their respective roles. Also you can see Deepika Padukone and Rajkumar Rao in special appearances.

Plot of the story..
SPOILER ALERTS!! First of all let me tell you that the plot of the story is head torturing. So brace yourselves while you read this. Shiv played by Sushant meets Saira played by Kriti in Budapest. They come close in a very short time because there existed so called bond between them. Then the story is supported by some stupid comet theory. During their good times, enters the villain from nowhere. He abducts the heroine where she accidentally remembers everything from her past life. There she was a princess of a tribal group and loved Zac played by Jim Sarbh. Now you get confused who the hell is the protagonist. In this stage another tribal group led by Sushant Singh attacks them. To save her people Kriti Sanon offers herself to Sushant. Then she falls in love with her but Jim Sarbh kills Sushant from behind. Oh my goodness… I can’t go further than this.
Raabta – Movie Review :
This movie was made with nothing in mind and doesn’t disappoint as it tortures you to maximum. Sushant acclaimed high after his movie MS Dhoni lets you down here. He tries very hard to get into the character but showcases his over the top acting. Another actor Jim Sarbh who was highly acclaimed for Neerja is the worst part of this film. His acting is the most boring part of the film as it seems that he struggles to deliver his dialogues properly. The same we’ve felt when actresses like Katrina spoke Hindi. However, Kriti Sanon succeeds in justifying her role.
On the other hand the direction of the film is really average as you might sleep between the movie. The film goes smoothly in the first half but suddenly goes off track in the second. The music is too on the average side. The best thing of this movie is possibly the makeover of Rajkumar Rao.
If you prefer romance then you’ll probably like the first half of the movie. However the second half of the movie is boring from every angle. Even though this film got a clean chit from the makers of Magadheera, I can personally say that this is an indirect remake of it. Magadheera directed by Rajamouli was a masterpiece and I would rather prefer watching it twice than watching this piece of shit. This film hardly gets 1.5 ratings out of 5 from my side.
If you are planning to watch this movie then I would suggest you to go for some other options – Wonder Woman or The Mummy. In the meantime leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
